Inventory and appraisal, 12 June 1844, of Booka Gandy's estate, including livestock, blacksmith tools, furniture, cotton and other crops, plantation goods, carpentry tools, and individual slaves identified by name; letter, 10 Sept. 1844, Union, S.C., J.W. Carrigan to William A. Carrigan, Charlotte, N.C., re social life in Union and plans for William's visit; medical bills, 1845-1855, for services provided to Gandy and family by S.H. Pressly, including medicines and obstetrical attention to Gandy's wife.
